JANICE Grimmett was so homesick after moving to America that husband Simon built a Marks & Spencer shop at the bottom of their garden.
Simon and Janice, with daughters Katie, 18 and Lucy, 13 moved to Dallas, Texas, nearly three years ago. But Janice missed her favourite store so much that Simon built a replica - 27 inches wide and 25 inches tall.
Simon, 45, an IT consultant, originally from Milton Keynes, Bucks, said: "it's the first place Janice goes to when she returns to England and she always saying how much she misses it, so I decided to make one for her."
Based on an old-style store, it even features miniature merchandise in the windows. Tony shoppers sit outside and billboard promotes a mid-season sale.
"Its absolutly amazing" said Janice, 43 "But I'm disappointed that the sale always starts tomorrow."
Simon now plans a whole model English village to remind them all of home.
